I am honoured to be selected for inclusion among the BBCs search for
their most inspirational person award! They made contact with me three
weeks ago when I was walking in Poland! Then after a phone interview I
was informed that I made it to their top 50 list :)
Just to have made it this far and to tell my story alongside so many remarkable people from around the world is so humbling!
Tonight I will be interviewed in the BBCs Moscow studio. The interview will be recorded for a later broadcast on the BBCs World Services Outlook show, with Matthew Bannister.
My interview will be assessed by a panel of judges who will reduce this
list from their top 50 to a short list of 10, and then finally to their
top 3 most inspirational people. All this is to mark the 50th
anniversary of the BBCs Outlook programme.
Please wish me luck :)
